"This is turning out to be a bastard season, all we need now are some injuries… " (News report, 2nd of October)
Meanwood's horrific season has got even worse and the injury list represents that of a train wreck, which in turn represents how Meanwood's dismal season is going. The screams of misery are growing louder and the injury list is getting bigger.
Firstly, let's get the good news over with. Gafa is having trouble with his right quadriceps after being kneed Real Oriental's big striker. However, Gafa is recovering nicely and should be back in action soon but he's not important.
Secondly onto the bad news, in a rugby match for Abbey Grange against Notredam Anthony Mckieth has strained a leg muscle and could be out for up to a week. Anthony has already suffered injury problems this year and we wish him all the best. However, that's extremely mild considering what's still to come…
Thirdly, Richard Bissitt has torn his ligaments during the first tackle of the same rugby match. Bissitt could be out for up to THREE MONTHS. We wish Bissitt all the best in his recovery. This is a massive blow to the Meanwood squad as he is a very important player. Bissitt has had problems with his groin as well. Referees have sent us messages wishing him the best and we also wish him a speedy recovery.
Fourthly in the same rugby match, Daniel Woodward dislocated and fractured his shoulder (no it's not a joke…I wish it was) and faces another lengthy injury lay off…We also wish him the very best in his recovery.
Who will be next? We're not going to tempt fate…things can only get better.
Other News- Meanwood have conceded a walkover to Park Lane due to the injury crisis. Meanwood's next match will be against Kelly's Heroes and they will need to find a new player if they are to have a full team. To recover from this nightmare season will be Meanwood's biggest test of all time
