Alex Jones has recently put pen to paper and signed a new Meanwood "full time" contact. Previously on a short-term "part time" contract, Alex Jones sees this as a major step up, which is he reportedly "chuffed to bits" about.
This will be Alex Jones' third full time stint at the club after previous full time stints in the Youth Lague and a brief spell in the Mens League, both were tragically cut short due to personal problems and injuries. However, Alex is determined to make a real go of his Meanwood career this time round and has been practising his shooting constantly for this opportunity. Alex was offered a full time contact after impressing in his part time spell at the club where he scored 5 goals in one half against Inter Mi Nan to earn Meanwood a precious victory. He has been brought in to ease the workload off strikers Gafa and Dean Bell who have both found themselves isolated up front. Gafa has also been struggling to find the back of the net as of late and Meanwood need another goalscorer to compliment him. Captain Gafa is reported as saying "Jonesy is exactly what we are looking for, a clinical finisher who is a natural goalscorer." Jonesy is set to make his debut appearance on the 27th of June. Jonesy is hoping for a big crowd to watch his comeback show. Exciting! |
