Kelly's Spanks Meanwood
Despite taking an early two-goal lead, Meanwood's painful season continues as they lost 10-4 to a strong Kelly's Heroes side that upped their tempo after the second half to take all three points. Meanwood were without their goalkeeper Ayden Fertug and Woody and in the end this proved to be very costly.

Bissitt- Good Goal During the first ten minutes Meanwood were by far the stronger of the two sides with efforts from Mckieth, Bissitt and Gafa all coming close. However, Meanwood did manage to get a deserved 2-0 lead through Mckieth and Bissitt.

However, things were about to go downhill as some inept goalkeeping gifted Kelly's Heroes three goals in the space of five minutes to put them in the lead. Kelly's Heroes then burst into life and set about bringing the game to Meanwood and set about testing Meanwood's emergency keeper with some long distance shots, two of which went in to make the score 5-2. Meanwood saw the match slipping away from them and tried to penetrate Kelly's Heroes once more but they were unable to get past a robust defence and a strong goalkeeper.

The remainder of the second half was fairly even with Meanwood's strong defence preventing any more goals from leaking in. Meanwood almost pulled a goal back with a long distance effort from Gafa just before half time. However, his shot went just wide. As the half time whistle blew, Meanwood were well aware that a lack of a top quality emergency keeper had cost them dearly.

Bissitt- Good Goal Meanwood kicked off the second half and pulled a goal back when Mckieth wormed his way round several defenders and placed the ball into the back of the net. Meanwood tried to bridge the gap even more and Richard Bissitt forced a good save from Kelly's Heroes' keeper.

However, it wasn't long before the downpour started as Kelly's Heroes scored two more in quick succession after some poor goalkeeping to make it 7-2. It then became evident that Meanwood's heads had dropped and some players proceeded in giving up. Kelly's Heroes then added to their total even further and managed to score a further three goals before full time. However, Meanwood did manage to grab a late consolation goal when Nathan Williams raced down the right wing and smashed the ball into the bottom left hand corner of the net. However, it was too little too late as Meanwood were already trailing 10-4.

A poor display from Meanwood as they let their heads drop after some poor goalkeeping. It was obvious that the defence didn't feel confident with their goalkeeper and this made them more nervous. Aydan Fertug would have saved the majority of the goals they conceded. This match illustrated how vital he really is.
